I was surprised when he offered to come out for a free estimate on Sunday afternoon, on the Fourth of July weekend. He arrived a bit later than promised, but did call ahead, and did a thorough evaluation of our crawlspace.
  Afterwards he showed us the photos he took and explained the 3 options his company offers - vapor barrier, encapsulate the walls and floor but leave insulation on the crawlspace ceiling, installing a dehumidifier down there, or the gold package - remove ceiling insulation, scrub and sanitize everything, fully encapsulate walls and floors, new foam insulation on crawlspace walls, and cut into hvac ducting to make the crawlspace conditioned just like the upstairs.
  We did not receive the pricing the same day, but 2 days later by email. Since health and air quality were our main concerns, we chose the gold package. Even after I pointed out that the square footage on his quote was lower than our house, he said he would still honor the quoted price.
  He had an opening about 2 weeks later, and his crew showed up on time and were courteous and professional. The actual work took more days than originally estimated, but I was very impressed by Matt's attention to detail. Even when I thought they were finished and things looked great, they spent several more hours making things just perfect. I love the air sanitizing UV light they put in the furnace, and the remote temperature and humidity monitor that allows us to see at a glance that everything is doing ok down there.
  It has been about a month since work was completed, and so far, temperature and humidity are right where they should be. Overall, we are thrilled with the quality of the job that was done for a very reasonable price."
